Emerald Park
One of the best locations in North York, with a direct indoor link to Sheppard-Yonge station; but complaints cluster around leaks, elevator outages and fire alarms.
Good points
- Indoor connection to Sheppard-Yonge subway station
- Two or three minutes to Highway 401
- Indoor pool, hot tub, sauna and gym
- Rooftop garden with BBQs and a gazebo
Problems
- A burst pipe on an upper floor once flooded several units
- After the flood some elevators were out of service for a long time, up to several months
- Maintenance fees rose sharply around 2021
- Lower floors get traffic noise from the underground retail area
- In some two-bedroom layouts the second bedroom is small, closer to a den
